Today's Nicholas Nickleby
My dad is reading Nicholas Nickleby by Charles Dickens to my little brother and I. Charles Dickens is a relieving read because his characters actually have form and are likable. My favorites are the Cheeryble Brothers who are kind and generous but who never think much of anything they do. I guess that I am just sick of modern novels, which only have weak characters. They are written for people don’t want to read about good people who challenge them into being better, but people who are unadmirable and by just being their egotistical selves are able to find fulfillment and happiness in life (this way, the readers don’t have to get uncomfortable with doing whatever it is they want to do).
If Nicholas Nickleby had been written by a modern author, Ralph Nickleby (the villan) would be the hero since he is only looking out for himself and Nicholas (the hero) would be the villan, because he is a Christian and keeps on "pushing his beliefs on his Uncle" by thwarting his uncles plans for what he believes is “happiness" (even though these plans involve the harming of innocent people).

a chipotle burrito glamor shot
Tonight, my family and I went to Chipotle and all recieved free Burritos (there was a buy one-get one free Valentines Day deal). My mom and I usually share a burrito because they are huge (you could probably use one to feed a starving person in a third world country for a few days) but with the deal we each got one. Mmm.

my first post
This is my first post. I have been looking online at some friends' blogs today and I can see how useful they can be for seeing what has been happening in their life (Probably a better way to see what has been happening in their life is to actually go visit them in person though. Oh well).
